08.03.2007 - THE END That's it. The final update to Unfamiliar Reflection. Thanks for sticking around for all 215 pages. But please, if you liked this comic, refer it to your friends! And by all means look forward to Catomix's new series, Urgent Transformation Crisis, debuting next Monday. Be seeing you. 07.27.2007 - COMING TO A CLOSE Hope you enjoyed the year-long ride, folks. Remember, this isn't over yet! Come back Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for some things that will wrap this up properly. July 28-30: Extra material 07.15.2007 - OOPS Really sorry, everybody. I misdated page 15 for Sunday instead of Friday. I dropped the ball this time. It wasn't a server glitch. I've double-checked the dates on the rest of the pages and everything's in order now. July 27: Final two pages of issue 12 07.09.2007 - DISCLOSURE ComicGenesis has been working on getting a new server online for the past couple of weeks, which explains why the comic hasn't been updating on time. There's nothing I can do about this, and hopefully the sever move will be completed soon. There have been a few changes to the end-of-series schedule. Instead of waiting an entire weekend for the final pages of the comic, they will instead be posted Friday the 27th. (Actually I made this change when I digitized the pages and realized that pages 27 and 28 were actually the extra material that was planned to go up on Tuesday and Wednesday the 31st and 1st. So issue 12 is only 26 pages long, not 28, and I'd be one mean man if I forced you to wait an entire weekend for just one final page. So that's that, whether you wanted to know or not. But remember that the final page of issue 12 isn't the end of the stuff you'll see on this site! This is the new schedule effective in three weeks: July 27: Final two pages of issue 12 The extra material is posted all through the weekend and until the end of July, and please don't forget about the premiere of UTC, still tentatively scheduled for Monday, August 6. The website for that will be going live soon. 07.02.2007 - ISN'T ONE SERIES ENOUGH? Of course not. Let me tell you a little story. Back in 2002 I was riding my first 24 high. That real-time tv series was in the middle of its first year and it was amazing. I was washing tables at the campus dining hall, trying to think of how I would handle a real-time series. What elements would I emphasize? What would the story center around? It came to me right there in the dining hall. A story about a typical (or prehaps atypical) day at a diner. No big story. No explosions. Just a story about regular people trying to make a living. That idea spun into what became Seven to Seven: Twelve Hour Shift, my second comic series set in Unfamiliar Reflection's universe (or Re<Verse, as it was later termed). A girl's first day at a diner turns into a neverending string of crazy situations, vengeful coworkers and tests of loyalty. It wasn't my best series (in terms of both writing AND drawing), but I still have a little place for it in my heart. I'd like you to enjoy it, too. Because on this day, for only this day, the entire series is on-line at the Catomix website. It only takes an hour to read. Check it out now, download the pages if you want and don't have the time to read it all by midnight. But once the day is done, the comic will be gone once again. July 30: Final three pages of issue 12 06.25.2007 - END TIMES Issue twelve starts today, as you can see. It's a double-sized ish so everything gets wrapped up without rushing...unlike a certain evil webcomic of mine. I understand that ComicGenesis was kind of off-and-on these last couple weeks, and sorry but there was nothing I could do about that. That's just how things go here on THE INTERNETS. I'm sure Ted Stevens is taking care of it as we speak. And wow, I can't believe that joke is almost a year old already. I can't believe this on-line venture started ten months ago. This comic that took three years to complete now being released over the course of eleven months...it's nostalgic but at the same time depressing, because right now this still seems to be my best work. Hopefully that will change very soon. Today: Issue 12 starts |
